Sleep Fact
Getting the proper amount of sleep is so important for your body and for the health of your body. Our bodies need time to recover and repair themselves. Getting fewer than seven hours of sleep a night my raise your BMI compared to those who are getting the proper amount. So be good to your body and get the rest you need. You will be happy that you did, your body will thank you. Happy Clean Eating!!!
Light string cheese
This week at the grocery store I decided to buy Light string cheese instead of the normal version. Surpirsingly I like it better. It has only 60 calories and 1/2 the fat of the normal version. The kids don't notice a difference either. We are hooked. Happy Clean Eating!!!
Over indulging
I love to eat....I love to eat really good food. I am really strict with my diet during the day. Eating every 2 1/2- 3 hours. Getting the right amount of protein, fat, and carbs. I think to myself, self you are so great, you are eating so great today and feeling so great. But then Alex gets home, the kids go to bed, and Alex and I are vegging out. All I want to do is eat crap. I want to sit on the bed with Alex and have treat after treat after treat. But of course I know better and I really don't have treats in the house. If we want a treat we have to actually leave the house and buy one. I guess that is a good thing, or else I would be one BIG momma!!! I have found one thing that I can munch on at night that I really have no guilt doing...SUGAR SNAP PEAS!! I love them. They are crunchy, sweet, and really low in calories. So sugar snap peas are my new indulgence in the evening. Yummo!!! Happy Clean Eating!!!

Fiber Consumption
Getting to much fiber can be a bad thing for your weightloss efforts. Fiber is the best tool for weightloss and helping you feel full longer. Eating to much can push food through your intestines so fast that some minerals, like calcium, zinc, and iron are not absorbed. Although it is hard to over do fiber with just food alone read your food labels and make sure you are not topping 40 grams a day. Happy Clean Eating!!!
Eating on a schedule
We all love a schedule right. After having kids I realized that I am a schedule person. I like to know what is coming up next. Along with that I like to know when my next meal is because I love to eat. Before I started clean eating my meals were here and there when I got a chance to eat. Now I know excactly when I need to eat and what to put into my body. When I am on a schedule I make healthier choices and I actually prefer to eat clean. I am in control of what I put into my body and the bodies of those around me, which is a big job. Happy Clean Eating!!!

Avoid skipping meals
The best way to keep your metabolism up is to eat. Eating every 2-3 hours is key to maintaining a high hummin' metabolism. "Women are more likely then men to skip meals." Why so we do this to ourselves if we all know this is bad for our bodies and we are going to pay for it later....We all end up pigging out by the end of the day on junk if we deprive our bodies all day. So keep you body happy and just feed it. Starvation is not the key to loosing weight and having that perfectly toned body. Eat your way thin and be happy about it. Because food is fun and keeps us all in a good mood. Happy Clean Eating!!!
Morning Exercise
So I have laid off the P90X for this week. I was doing the wrong workouts and I feel like I was bulking up, it is probably all in my head but I am paranoid. So this week Alex and I have been getting up early, 6:30 that is early for us, and working out. Alex goes to the Y and I just go upstairs. I have been doing yoga and pilates this week and running of course, cannot live without my run in the morning. I have felt really great about that. For me it is nice to take a little break from all the lifting. I don't want to be a man. Exercising in the morning is the best way to stick with a program because there are no excuses of why not to do it. To many things come up later in the day. So make morning exercise a priority, you will feel better about yourself. Happy Exercising!!!
Lifestyle
Clean eating is a lifestyle you have to commit to. You have to give it your all and really be dedicated to keeping your kitchen "CLEAN" Sometimes the kids get really sick of what we are eating and want different meals. So I am in search of new recipes. I am so excited that we finally have good strawberries and blueberries again. The fruit is so sweet it tastes like a treat. I am loving that. Tonight my sister and I ate an entire blueberry box from costco. I just couldn't stop, they really were so tasty. I have been trying really hard lately to be good about what I put into my body. But I have to admit it is hard when there are holidays, because that always involves treats of some kind. Happy Clean Eating!!!

Oops
Okay I just realized I have been doing the wrong P90X. I have been doing the classic version, I am seriously going to turn into a man, I am freaking out. So tomorrow I change what I am doing. I need to be doing the lean workout. I am not trying to bulk up, my muscles respond really quickly and I will turn into body builder, oh, NO. So Courtney informed me tonight that I should not be doing the classic I should be doing the lean program. Oh, my goodness, I didn't even know there were different programs in the set. I just thought you did what the first workout said. I am a little slow I think. Well atleast I have been having really great workouts lately. Happy Exercising!!!
I'm not crazy just addicted
For those of you that read this blog and don't know me, you probably think I am totally nuts and all I do is workout. I want to assure you that I am a productive human being with 5 kids. I love to run and workout because this is my outlet and it makes me feel good. I love the way exercise makes me feel and I love the way I feel when I eat clean. I am extreme I know, but atleast I can admit that, right. SO I know I am addicted to exercise it is just those endorphins kick in when I am running and sometimes it is hard to stop!!! Happy Exercising!!!
Apple and Cheese
One of my most favorite snacks is an apple and a string cheese the two just gi really well together and last atleast a couple of hours. Give it a try sometime. Happy Clean Eating!!!
P90X Chest and Back
P90X Chest and Back has sooooo many push-ups to count. Every time I do this DVD I feel like I am might really die this time. I always start out with a bang and go really hard and strong. BUt then the second round I feel like jello and it is enough for me to get the girl push-ups done. WOW!!! Talk about a serious workout. My arms and back are super sore today, But I love that feeling, Because I know how hard I am working. Happy Exercising!!!

P90X Kenpo X
I am just really enjoying my P90X. I know it is so good for my body because my runs have been so great I have to make myself stop. Good sign huh? Last night I did Kenpo X, it reminds me of Tae Bo. Not my most favorite, I would rather be weight training or doing Yoga but I will do what the program says and see where it takes me, Why not?? I have been watching the P90X info-mercial over and over, I have been driving Alex crazy with it. I just get so motivated to hear other peoples success stories, I thrive off it I guess. I am ready for a new week and ready to try harder this week. I want to log about 65-70 miles of running this week and continue on with my P90X routine in the evenings, that seems to be working really well.
