Oxygen Magazine

The oxygen magazine this month is amazing. The magazine is filled with fabulous articles, great recipes, great meal plans. I feel so motivated and inspired to do better in my daily prgress of fitness. The articles are inspring me to eat more clean. To really think about what you are putting into your body. If you feel like you really need chocolate, take a 15 minute walk because you probably will not want that chocolate when you return. The walking produces endorphins and those make you feel good just like chocolate. If you think you are hungry drink an 8 oz glass of water and wait 10 minutes to see if you were really just thirsty. Oh, I cannot tell you what great ideas are in this months oxygen everyone needs to go buy it, you will be just as motivated as I am. Happy Clean Eating!!!

My New year list

-get 8 hours of sleep
-weight train 3x a week
-drink 4 liters of water a day
-be positive
-Yoga/pilates 2x a week

Resolution

I love the new year because it gives you a new start. You can do anything you set your mind to. With the new year it is time to reflect on goals, short and long term goals. We are going to Hawaii in April and I really would like to feel great in my swimsuit. I have set a few goals for the new year. Eating better working out a little hard. Pushing myself to the next level. Not just doing the same thing day in and day out. When we do that we tend to get in a rut. Hard to break bad habits. I enjoy feeling good and looking good. When your jeans don't fit that is a bad feeling. I also resolve to get more sleep and drink more water. Two things we all should be doing more of. When I drink my 4 liters of water each day I feel lighter and have more energy because I am flushing the toxins out of my body. The Clean eating mag is wonderful and full of new and exciting recipes we all could use. The hardest part for me is making my kids try new things. Happy Clean Eating to all the year.

Wow!! Along time has gone by since my last post. I was just so sad for myself when I was reading that I couldn't run. oh, wow that took forever to heal. I am so glad that I am up and running again. Nothing is better than running. I actually bought a new treadmill about a month ago. What a wonderful thing to run on a brand new treadmill, the best feeling in the entire world. I am kind of in a rut with eating and working out though. I need to find some new recipes that make me excited. Also maybe some new weight exercises. I am feeling a bit bored with what I have going on right now. The only thing I look forward to is my run. I have not been enjoying weight training at all lately. I need to find something new and exciting. Happy Exercising!!!

Calories

Since I have not been running this week I am obviously not buring the amount of calories I was burning so I have been watching my calorie intake a lot more close. This is kind of stressfull for me. I am just use to buring a certain amount of calories each day, and I really like to eat. It bring me great joy. I really don't want to count calories. Calories in calories out. If you are not expending enough energy bad things will happen!! Happy Clean Eating!!!

Lost

I am lost without my moring run. The last 2 1/2 weeks have been really hard for me. I stopped running last tuesday because my leg is bothering me so bad that is kills to run on. I think I have just over trained. So I am giving my run workouts a break for the time being. I have started using different machines and I have realized this week that my love for running is still there. I just miss that runners high I feel at about mile 4. I am really hoping that sometime this week my leg will feel better so I can start running again. I do enjoy doing other things, but I really get a great workout from running. I feel like I work my entire body at the same time. Happy Exercising!!!

Sleep

We all know that not getting the propper amount of sleep can cause weight gain. But did you know that to much can do the same thing? So remember we only need 7-8 hours of sleep a night. Happy Clean Eating!!!

ExercisePlateau

Have you hit an exercise plateau? If you train long enough doing the same routine day after day week after week you will hit a plateau. Where do you go from there?? A few things to try...

*Take a break, Do something totally different for week or two and the go back to your "Normal" exercise routine

*Fuel you body, As as body adapts to your new fitness level your metabolism increases. Evalute how much food your body really needs.

*Mix up your routine, if you are not continually shocking your body with new exercises your body will know what is coming next, shock your body. Don't let your ody know what is coming next.

*Change the intesity of your workouts daily, push your self harder certian days of the week, remember to take a rest day too.

*Sleep, if your are not getting enough rest your body doesn't have time to repair your muscles from your workouts.

Spinning

I am going to expand my exercise routine to spinning. I am trying a spinning class tomorrow morning, I am a little nervous only because I never do group exercise classes. I always workout alone or with my sister. But I am really excited to try something new. I am sure I will be really sore from the class because all I ever do is run and P90X. So we will see if I am going to become a gym rat or not!!! Happy exercising!!!

Running

I am lost without my run in the morning. I am crabby until I am finished with my entire workout. I love to run and log my miles each and every morning. My kids are now home from school so i find it hard to juggle everything going on. So I must get my run in to feel half way human again. Kids really keep you moving and on the go. Exercise gives me some sort of control in my out of control life. I would be lost without my runs in the morning. Happy Exercising!!!

Fruit

Strawberries and blueberries are at the top of my fruit list right now because they are both in season and are incredibly delicious. I love to put them in yogurt with some granola. Yummy!!! Fruit to me is a treat, it is so sweet and wonderful. I love clean eating it makes me happy to know that I am putting good foods into my body and giving my body what it needs to be healthy and happy.
